2013 Giant Animator
The Animator’s durable aluminum frame will stand up to years of neighborhood bumps and jumps. Plus, this great tot rod sports pneumatic tires for easy pedaling and a great ride, while the foot-brake offers excellent stopping power. The Animator comes with sturdy training wheels, fenders, a bell and a pad set, too.

We looked at a lot of options for my son's first bike, from big box to bike shop. This was definitely worth the purchase price, even though it was quite a bit more than some other options. The fit of the bike is great and you know that the manufacturer will stand behind it. My son (3 1/2 years old) didn't fit well on any of the other 16" bikes, so we were looking at 14" bikes from the box stores. The 14" bike size is relatively new and somewhat rare, though, so apparently the tires for these are very difficult to find. Decision made - might as well buy something that you know will be supported. Anyway, we couldn't even get him to sit on his big wheel or tricycle before we bought this bike. After getting comfortable with the pedaling on his first day, he rode it for about a half mile on just his second day. Now he asks for a bike ride every night after dinner. If you are looking at one of these, don't be put off by the price. Not every company makes bikes that actually fit and can be adjusted to the rider. In the end, a bike that fits will be safer, easier to ride, and more fun.
